I find myself at the start of a short trip this month through the USA essentially checking off a few states. I talk a bit more about this over on my 50at60 website. In short, I am on a quest to visit all 50 states this year, the year of my 60th, by visiting small towns, scenic drives, and National Parks as I peel back some of the layers that tell the stories of what makes this such an amazing country!
As I do that, I also hope to tell the stories of others with a focus on creatives, artisans, and entrepreneurs that have interesting stories to tell! I am just getting started on this process, so I am open to suggestions for locations and unique people to interview by the way!
During the planning and research of this process, I have been using AI quite a bit to help envision my itineraries and timelines and have posted quite a bit of that over on the site I mentioned. During this trip out, I am again drilling down to make sure I don’t miss out on any interesting local sites or attractions. As I am only in each of these towns for about 36 to 48 hours, a little preplanning is a must!
I’ll be posting a few more of these itineraries from this area of the USA (one each from seven different states to be exact) over the next few weeks, so make sure and check back for more! So let’s get started with the first place on the loop, Galena, Illinois.
